As promised, I’m going to show you some of the questions I use when interviewing people. In this Tuesday Teaser, I want to show you some of my favorites. These are questions you can use too when you are ready to interview someone to work with you. The answers you hear will tell you a lot about a person’s personality and professional background.
One of these questions I would ask is “Tell me why you want to leave your current job.” I want to hear a good compelling reason why you’re looking to move. And speaking of moves, another one to ask of candidates is about the length of time spent at previous jobs. If your candidate averages between 8 months and 1½ years at their most recent jobs, it’s important to find out the reasons for the short work time periods.
These are just a few of the questions you can ask of candidates.
