Every young entrepreneur at some point is going to run into haters. How’s it going everybody? Dave the Nurse with the Health & Wealth Academy live from my car This is your 2 minute A-HAW moment.
The comment that was made to Chris and I was this – “You know guys, congratulations on all your success!” And we’re like “Thanks!”
He’s like “I can’t believe 12 years ago, you started this..” And we said “Yeah we did.”
He goes “You know what? There were a lot of people in the ICU that hoped that you would fail.”
My response to him was pretty classic – I said “You know Scott I love that energy. I love when somebody looks me in the face and says I hope you fail. Because I swear to God I’m going to use that energy to bulldoze right through. I will make it my mission to do it just to shove it in your face, okay?”
I’m not that type of person where I’m going to try to outdo you or outshow you, but I’ll be damned if we’re going to be told by somebody that they hoped that we will fail. Now here’s the worst part – no one’s going to tell you that to your face, young entrepreneurs.
Please understand that when you go out there and start doing something what we would all define as “out of the ordinary” as in starting my own business, recognize who will genuinely support you. And accept the reality that most or a good percentage or a handful or I’m going to go so far to say a lot, are gonna hope that you don’t make it, or worse, fail.
Now here’s the part that I struggle with: Why would anybody wish negativity on another person? I’ll tell you why – it’s their own personal insecurity.
Guys here’s the reality – I love the idea of you guys going out there and I will support you 200%. I will give you all the tools to succeed. I won’t give you money, because the unfortunate reality is I could give you a hundred grand, and if you don’t have what it takes to make it go, you’re just going to burn through $100,000.
It’s amazing how many companies actually invest in the people versus the idea. It could be a great idea but if you don’t have the right people with the right spirit, the right energy, the right Mojo, again, I don’t care how smart you think you are or how talented or experienced you are and whatever space you’re attempting to sell.
If you can’t make it go, if you can’t sell what you got, it’s not gonna go, you’re not gonna make it, you’re gonna have a hobby. You’re actually gonna have this really brilliant idea that’s just kinda idling in your brain, and what’s interesting, is you’re probably going to start struggling emotionally as far as depression wise, because you know you wanted to go, you know it can be good, but you can’t make it go.
