Hi, Dave the Nurse here with a great question for our Q&A Friday.
“How do you choose a caregiver?”
Thanks for the question.
Honestly, we’ve worked with good caregivers and less-than-good caregivers. Some have good clinical backgrounds but were not that great in day-to-day work. Others who had different backgrounds away from nursing and caregiving sometimes became great caregivers.
What we look for in a caregiver (and you should too) is someone with a great attitude, and the right energy, and the right spirit. Your caregiver should have a warm-giving nature, but also be able to pull back when needed.
We can always teach a caregiver how to do the job, but your caregiver should be reliable, have integrity, be able to make a difference, and be a person who can represent your company well.
